Nameless Sound is looking for creative improvisational and/or experimental musicians to work as Artist-Facilitators in its youth-centered, collaborative, improvisation-based workshop program. Facilitators work from their own creative practices and respond to the needs of participating youth within the guidelines of Nameless Sound’s unique pedagogical framework. This is contract work that could include between 1-5 sessions per week.
Workshops are in a wide range of sites including after-school programs for children who have experienced homelessness and domestic abuse, as well as for children from refugee families.
The great majority of our workshop participants are BIPOC. Having facilitators who reflect the diverse cultural identities of our participants is important to the program.
