Nameless Sound was established in 2001 to present the best of international contemporary music and to support the exploration of new methods in arts education

Nameless Sound presents concerts by premiere artists in the world of creative music. In addition, Nameless Sound artists work directly with students from Houston’s public schools, community centers, and homeless shelters. Nameless Sound’s educational work helps to nurture a new generation of artists and inspire tomorrow’s creative thinkers.

Workshops


Each year, Nameless Sound's innovative Creative Music Workshops serve more than 1500 young people in public schools, community centers, and homeless shelters.

Nameless Sound 's Creative Music Workshops are designed to stimulate a supportive environment for artistic exploration through music improvisation. The processes explored emphasize the important values of diversity, dialogue, self-awareness, group awareness, listening, creative problem solving, spontaneity, and risk taking. Creative Music Workshops offer the potential for personal growth and community development through creative improvised music.
